Mary Ellen Clausen

Mary Ellen is the founder and Executive Director of Ophelia's Place, an exemplary eating disorder resource center in Liverpool, New York. She is widely recognized as an innovative leader in eating disorder prevention, education and advocacy. The vast array of knowledge, experience and growth gained from her family's experience of having two daughters struggle with eating disordered behaviors enlightens as it inspires. Mary Ellen gives hope to those who may be in the midst of their own struggles with body hatred as she moves all who hear her toward the path of self-exploration and self- appreciation of the beauty we have that goes beyond skin deep.
